Flotation thickening supernatant recirculation

Settled sludge from primary and secondary treatment can be thickened by flotation downstream to reduce sludge volume for further treatment. From the thickening of sludge, redundant supernatant may be pumped for recirculation into upstream processes of the plant for treatment purposes and for subsequent discharge to recipients.
